Senior Front Office Data Business Analyst - Tier 1 Global Hedge Fund - Excellent Compensation + Benefits

I am partnering with a Tier 1 global multi-strategy hedge fund looking to hire a Senior Front Office Data Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the build-out of its firmwide investment-data platform. This is a high-impact, Front Office-facing opportunity, working directly with Portfolio Managers, investment teams and senior Technology leadership to shape how critical market and investment data is sourced, structured and delivered across the business. Far beyond a traditional BA position, this role offers significant technical ownership, direct exposure to the investment process and the opportunity to influence a major data-platform build-out within a leading global hedge fund. The Opportunity

• Work directly with Portfolio Managers, traders and investment teams, translating complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Own requirements across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and modelling through to transformation and delivery.
• Help shape a firmwide investment-data ecosystem supporting multiple asset classes and investment strategies.
• Drive onboarding and integration of market, reference and alternative datasets, including vendor integrations and financial identifier mapping.
• Influence data models, schema design, transformation logic and platform architecture, working closely with technical stakeholders.
• Support complex initiatives involving historical backfills, data quality, reconciliation and new data products.
• Contribute to a modern data environment incorporating Data Mesh principles, data contracts and AI-enabled workflows. What We're Looking For
• Strong buy-side experience is essential, ideally gained within a hedge fund, systematic investment manager or asset management firm.
• Proven experience operating between Front Office investment stakeholders and Technology, with direct exposure to PMs and trading teams.
• Previous hands-on background in Data Engineering, Software Development or technical data analysis, with strong business-facing experience.
• Advanced SQL, data modelling and a solid understanding of data pipelines, schemas and modern data platforms.
• Strong experience with market/reference data, vendor integrations, financial identifiers and data quality.
• Ability to translate complex investment requirements into clear technical specifications, challenging both business and technical stakeholders.
