Sous Chef – Counter, Manchester Salary: £37,500 per annum A seriously exciting new opening. A great opportunity to be part of something from day one. Counter is an exciting new restaurant coming to Manchester, part of the ambitious and progressive Open Restaurant Group. With a focus on delivering a quality product, creating a brilliant guest experience and building a reputation in the city, this is an opportunity to join a new opening with plenty of potential. We're looking for a talented, passionate Sous Chef who wants to be part of a great kitchen team, take pride in what they do and help establish Counter as a go-to destination in Manchester. The Role Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver consistently high standards across the food, the team and the overall operation. You'll be hands-on, leading from the front and setting the standards that make a restaurant successful. From service and food quality to team development and kitchen organisation, you'll be an integral part of the opening and the restaurant's future success. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Head Chef in running an efficient, well-organised kitchen.
• Delivering consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team through busy services.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Supporting stock control, ordering, waste management and kitchen cost control.
• Training and developing junior chefs, helping them grow in confidence and ability.
• Bringing energy, creativity and a positive attitude to the kitchen every day. About You We're looking for a Sous Chef who is passionate about food, takes real pride in their work and understands what it takes to deliver a great restaurant experience. You'll ideally have experience as a Sous Chef or be a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to take the next step. You'll be organised, commercially aware and confident leading a team in a quality-focused kitchen. Most importantly, you'll have the right attitude, enjoy being hands-on and want to be part of building something exciting from the ground up. What's on Offer?
