Senior Financial Risk Analyst

Senior Financial Risk Analyst A life and pensions provider is hiring a Senior Financial Risk Analyst to provide second line oversight of its financial risks, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer. The Role You'll challenge how the first line manages financial risk, covering credit risk, asset liability management and internal ratings, and support model validation work. You'll also help shape risk appetite, contribute to the ORSA, and produce risk reporting for governance committees. Requirements

• Financial risk experience in life insurance or pensions, in either the first or second line
• Understanding of the UK regulatory environment
• Credit risk and illiquid asset experience, ideally within an annuity or pensions business
• Asset liability management experience, or good awareness
• Exposure to Solvency II internal models or bulk annuities is a plus
• Actuarial background, or equivalent, in credit risk or non-equity investments
• Strong analytical skills, with good attention to detail
• Clear communicator, able to build relationships and influence
• Proactive, quick to learn and comfortable working to deadlines
