🚨 We're Hiring – Head of FX | Emerging & Frontier Markets 🚨 🌍 High-growth Fintech | Cross-Border Payments | African Markets 📍 Fully Remote – UK / European Time Zones 💰 £100k–£125k Base + Equity 🕒 Full-time | Senior Trading Opportunity An opportunity to help shape and build the FX trading capabilities of one of the most exciting areas of global fintech growth. We're partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing fintech transforming cross-border payments across Africa and other emerging markets. They're looking for a Head of FX to take a leading role in developing their FX trading capabilities, liquidity network and execution strategy. Working hand in hand with the Head of Treasury, you'll have significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence how the business approaches FX pricing, liquidity sourcing and risk management as it scales. This isn't a conventional institutional trading seat. You'll operate in complex, fragmented and relationship-driven markets where liquidity isn't always visible, pricing requires genuine market insight, and commercial judgement matters just as much as technical trading ability. 💡 The Opportunity 🔹 Take ownership of FX execution and liquidity sourcing across emerging and frontier-market corridors, with a particular focus on Africa. 🔹 Work directly with the Head of Treasury to develop and execute the business's FX and liquidity strategy. 🔹 Build and deepen relationships with banks, market-makers and liquidity providers across international markets. 🔹 Develop sophisticated pricing capabilities and market intelligence across less liquid currency corridors. 🔹 Shape trading processes, counterparty strategy and the infrastructure required to support significant business growth. 🔹 Play a key role in the evolution of a broader treasury and multi-asset trading capability. 🔹 Influence commercial strategy and help unlock new markets and payment corridors. 🎯 Who We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with experienced FX traders who combine strong technical expertise with commercial instinct and an established counterparty network. Ideally, you'll bring: ✅ Significant experience in EM FX trading, sales trading or liquidity provision. ✅ Exposure to African FX markets, particularly frontier currencies such as NGN, GHS, KES, XAF and XOF. ✅ A track record of sourcing liquidity and executing transactions in complex or illiquid markets. ✅ Strong knowledge of FX spot, forwards, swaps and pricing methodologies. ✅ Established relationships with banks, financial institutions and liquidity providers. ✅ Excellent quantitative, analytical and risk-management capabilities. ✅ An entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence to operate autonomously in a high-growth environment. Experience across fixed income, money markets or broader treasury functions would be advantageous. 🚀 Why Consider This Opportunity?
