AI Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer Location: London (Hybrid) About the company: Our client is an AI-driven fundraising technology company building a platform that connects exceptional founders with the right investors through intelligent matching, warm introductions, and relationship intelligence. The company aims to make fundraising more accessible by helping founders overcome network barriers and connect with investors based on fit, merit, and investment thesis. Its platform combines artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, relationship data, and CRM capabilities to streamline founder-investor connections across email, WhatsApp, phone, and web. With a strong focus on responsible AI, privacy, fairness, and transparency, our client is building a new category of fundraising infrastructure designed to improve access to capital and help promising founders move forward. Key requirements:

• Building production AI agents (tool use, RAG, evals, guardrails)
• Real-time voice AI (speech-to-text, text-to-speech, low latency)
• Matching / relationship data, e.g. graph or vector models for connecting founders and investors
• Security, trust & safety, and data privacy (GDPR), as we handle sensitive founder and investor data
• 0 to 1 startup experience, very hands-on, and able to build and lead the first engineering team Nice to have: bias/fairness testing, CRM and data integrations, fintech or investor-tech background. Tasks:
• Translate real-world network behavior into structured data and intelligent, AI-driven workflows
• Own the product architecture from MVP to scale across email, WhatsApp, phone and web, on a secure, serverless cloud foundation
• Design AI systems with a strong focus on safety, fairness, privacy and transparency, ensuring recommendations and matching logic are responsible, explainable and free from harmful bias
• Implement best practices for AI governance, model evaluation and responsible data usage as the platform scales
• Understand user requirements and work with the CEO to build the technical strategy and roadmap
• Be hands on and build and lead the engineering team as the company grows Benefits
