Express Recruitment

Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting one of Nottingham's longest-established software companies, providing innovative software control solutions to a variety of global manufacturers. Following recent company growth and continued investment in software development, our client is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with strong C#/.NET and full-stack web development experience to support the development, maintenance, and modernisation of its industrial control platform. Initially, the role will focus on developing and maintaining .NET web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server. As you develop your knowledge of the company's products, systems, and customers, you will progressively take ownership of test automation, helping to improve software quality, test coverage, and release confidence across the development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working collaboratively with software and control engineers, and seeing their work implemented in live manufacturing environments. Career Development & Progression: This role offers a clear development pathway, beginning with full-stack application development and progressing towards greater responsibility for test automation and software quality. During the first six months, you will build familiarity with the company's codebase, products, and industrial processes before increasingly taking ownership of automated testing capabilities and supporting improvements across the development team. You will work alongside experienced software developers and control engineers, gaining exposure to live industrial systems, customer requirements, and modern software engineering practices. In return, you can expect a competitive salary up to £55,000, including an attractive annual bonus, a 6% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, flexible salary sacrifice schemes, and genuine opportunities for professional development and progression.
