A&A Legacy Travel® is looking for four motivated individuals to join our growing team of Independent Travel Consultants. We are an award-winning, family-founded independent travel agency, part of the Hays Travel Independence Group, specialising in luxury and tailor-made package holidays. Our expertise includes family and multi-generational holidays, honeymoons, destination weddings, cruises, group travel and personalised multi-destination itineraries. We exclusively arrange package holidays rather than standalone flights or accommodation, focusing on personalised service, professional travel planning and long-term customer relationships. A&A Legacy Travel® is an ABTA member (P8703), with applicable flight-inclusive packages ATOL protected through Hays Travel Ltd (ATOL 5534). With access to over 500 travel suppliers worldwide, professional booking systems and established industry partnerships, we provide our consultants with the tools, training and support to develop their own client base. We are looking for people who want to build a genuine travel business, not simply people who enjoy going on holiday. Four Opportunities Available As we continue to grow, we are particularly interested in applicants with additional language skills or cultural knowledge that can help us connect with more customers and communities. Romanian-Speaking Independent Travel Consultant Fluent in Romanian and English, with an interest in building relationships with Romanian-speaking customers. Polish-Speaking Independent Travel Consultant Fluent in Polish and English, with an interest in supporting Polish-speaking customers and communities. Independent Travel Consultant | Irish Market Someone with a good understanding of Irish culture, communities and customer preferences. Personal or professional experience working with Irish communities would be particularly valuable. English-Speaking Independent Travel Consultant Someone with excellent English communication skills, strong customer service abilities and the motivation to develop a client base. These are areas of particular interest, not restrictions on who you can serve. All consultants can arrange holidays for eligible customers throughout the UK and Ireland, regardless of their nationality, background or preferred language, in accordance with our booking arrangements. Every consultant has the freedom to develop their own customer relationships and travel specialisms. Good spoken and written English is essential for all four opportunities, as our booking systems, supplier communications and professional training operate in English. What You'll Be Doing As an Independent Travel Consultant, you will represent A&A Legacy Travel® while building and managing your own client base. You will communicate with customers, understand their travel requirements, research destinations and prepare personalised package holiday quotations. You will work with approved suppliers and professional booking systems to arrange suitable holiday packages, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and excellent customer service. You will support clients throughout their booking journey, from their initial enquiry until they return home. An important part of your role will involve attracting new customers through networking, recommendations, referrals, social media and other suitable marketing activities. You will also be responsible for developing your travel knowledge, understanding relevant industry regulations and following A&A Legacy Travel®'s professional and compliance standards. Who We're Looking For Previous travel industry experience is an advantage, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in career changers who demonstrate professionalism, initiative, commercial awareness and a genuine willingness to learn. You should be organised, proactive, confident using digital tools and comfortable communicating with customers. Strong attention to detail is essential, as you will be handling holiday quotations, booking information and customer enquiries. We particularly value individuals who take responsibility for their work, research independently and are motivated to develop professionally. Being well-travelled is helpful, but it is not a substitute for customer service skills, commitment and professionalism. Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom and legally permitted to undertake self-employed work. What We Offer Full Training and Ongoing Support You will receive initial training and ongoing guidance covering our suppliers, professional booking systems, quotation procedures and relevant travel industry compliance requirements. Access to Over 500 Travel Suppliers Through our industry partnerships, you will have access to a wide range of suppliers and travel products, allowing you to create personalised package holidays worldwide. Professional Tools and Branding We provide access to approved booking systems, a professional company email address, branded social media opportunities and digital resources for creating quotations and itineraries. Marketing and Business Development Guidance We offer guidance on promoting your services, attracting customers, developing your professional presence and building long-term client relationships. Travel Industry Opportunities Consultants may have opportunities to participate in supplier training, webinars, trade events and familiarisation trips in the UK and internationally, subject to eligibility and availability. A Supportive, Independent Team You will become part of a small team where knowledge is shared, questions are encouraged and professional development is taken seriously. There are no joining fees, monthly membership fees or compulsory sales targets. Consultants are responsible for providing their own laptop or desktop computer, smartphone and reliable internet connection. Commission and Earnings This is a 100% commission-based, self-employed opportunity. There is no fixed salary or guaranteed income. Earnings depend on successful bookings and the commission generated. Our commission structure recognises experience, professional development and performance. Beginners: 50/50 commission split For individuals entering the travel industry who require full initial training and ongoing support. Intermediate Consultants: 60/40 commission split For individuals with relevant industry experience or consultants who have demonstrated consistent performance and professional development. Experienced Consultants: 70/30 commission split For established travel professionals with proven experience, strong customer service skills and the ability to manage bookings independently. The consultant's share is stated first. Commission is calculated according to the agreed consultant terms, after applicable deductions. Experienced applicants may qualify for a higher starting commission split following an initial assessment. Leads generated directly by A&A Legacy Travel®, including enquiries received through our website, marketing activities or events, are allocated on a 50/50 commission basis. Progression is normally reviewed every three to six months, with opportunities to advance based on performance, client development and professional standards. Consultants invoice for earned commission in accordance with the agreed payment arrangements, after the relevant supplier commission has been received. All holiday bookings and customer payments must be processed through approved systems. Consultants do not accept customer payments directly. What You Need to Understand Before Applying We want to be transparent about what this opportunity involves. This is a genuine self-employed business opportunity, not a salaried position, MLM, network-marketing scheme or passive-income arrangement. You will be responsible for developing your own customer base, managing enquiries and building your business over time. Some enquiries will not become bookings. Some customers will need several conversations before making a decision. Developing repeat business takes patience, consistency and professionalism. While A&A Legacy Travel® provides training, systems and ongoing support, we expect consultants to demonstrate initiative and take responsibility for their own learning and development. You do not need to know everything about the travel industry when you join us. However, you must be willing to learn, prepared to do your own research and genuinely interested in the responsibilities involved in selling package holidays. We are looking for people who want to represent our agency professionally, develop their knowledge and build lasting relationships with customers. Our Recruitment Process We believe that finding the right people is more important than recruiting quickly. We also encourage you to research the basic roles of ABTA and ATOL within the UK travel industry, if you are new. We do not expect beginners to have extensive industry knowledge. We do, however, expect genuine curiosity, preparation and an interest in understanding the business they wish to represent.
