Senior Software Engineer

I am working with a rapidly growing technology consultancy in Newcastle that is continuing to build its software engineering team, with base salaries ranging from £80,000 to £150,000 depending on experience. The business is backed by world-leading organisations across management consulting and alternative investment, delivering bespoke technology solutions for clients across banking and financial services, private capital and defence. You'll work across a variety of client projects, developing software to solve complex business and technical challenges. Working closely with clients, business users and other engineers, you'll gain exposure to different industries, technologies and problems, with the opportunity to take ownership and see your work through to delivery. They are looking for software developers with some commercial experience and a strong technical foundation, ideally with experience in languages such as C#, C++, Java or Python. An understanding of modern software development practices, APIs and application development would also be beneficial. You don't need previous Financial Services experience, but you should enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively and understanding how technology can deliver real value to clients.
