Interim Commercial Finance Manager

Interim Commercial Finance Manager | Music & Events. c. £500 per day. ASAP start | c. 3 months | London | Hybrid: 2–3 days in the office Finance People (the interim arm of Refreshing) is recruiting an Interim Commercial Finance Manager for a growing business in the music and live events sector, with international operations and developing commercial revenue streams. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll focus on two immediate priorities: Budgeting and cashflow Support the annual budget across events and newer business areas, personally building and consolidating the budget model and cashflow forecast. Commercial deal analysis Assess new international licensing opportunities: reviewing partner budgets, challenging assumptions and modelling returns, minimum guarantees, bonuses and payment timing. Your analysis will help the CFO assess risks and agree the conditions required before signing. Depending on capacity, there may also be scope to support the implementation of a new financial planning system. What we're looking for A qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Recent experience personally delivering an annual budget in a fast-moving business. Strong modelling skills, with the ability to build the analysis yourself. Experience in music, live events, festivals or entertainment. Confidence explaining numbers to senior non-finance colleagues and holding your view when challenged. The ability to get up to speed quickly, working with incomplete data and changing priorities. Licensing, royalty or franchise experience would be useful, as would exposure to emerging markets, currency risk or NetSuite. This is a hands-on assignment with no direct reports. Management accounts are already covered, so the emphasis is on budgeting, commercial modelling and helping the business make decisions.
