Head of Commercial (Revenue & Market Research): Energy Storage & Flexible Generation Want to own the revenue strategy of one of the UK's fastest-growing energy storage platforms, and build the team that delivers it? Our client is a leading UK developer and operator of battery storage and flexible generation. They're backed by a major global infrastructure investor and have a multi-gigawatt pipeline out to 2030 and beyond. As their operational portfolio scales, they're creating a brand new Head of Commercial role to lead market research and maximise revenue across their assets in the UK power markets. This isn't a role for someone who just wants to manage. You'll roll up your sleeves, get into the analysis yourself, and have real influence over how the assets earn. What you'll do

• Lead market research on where UK power markets and commodities are heading, and what that means for revenue
• Work closely with the market consultants, and challenge their forecasts
• Track asset performance, benchmark it against peers, and shape the trading and revenue strategies that get deployed
• Lead and develop a team of two analysts from day one, with plans to grow the team
• Use AI and smarter tools to make the team's analysis faster and sharper
• Support wider commercial and strategy work, including long-term contracting What you'll bring
• Strong analytical experience in UK power markets: wholesale, Balancing Mechanism, ancillary services and Capacity Market
• A background in an energy consultancy, a utility, a trading house's analytics or strategy team, or a storage or flexible generation business
• A clear grasp of how flexible assets earn revenue
• Confidence presenting to senior leadership, and a real appetite to lead people
• Hands-on with Excel, Python or SQL, and curious about what AI can do
• PPA or structured contract experience is a bonus, not essential Why join
