About the job

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and highly organised Reception Administrator to join our busy reception team.

This role involves working 15 hrs per week on a shift pattern, so flexibility is essential.

This fast-paced position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and delivering outstanding customer service. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, you will provide a welcoming, efficient, and professional reception service.

You will play a key role in creating a positive experience for everyone who visits our service, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area. Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.

At present, the Trust is unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include answering and managing a high-volume switchboard, directing calls to the appropriate departments, providing information and guidance to patients and visitors, and signposting staff and members of the public to the correct areas across the site. You will also support the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area by maintaining accurate records, handling enquiries efficiently, and working closely with colleagues across multiple departments.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service in a busy healthcare environment. Teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essential for this role.
