Lung Cancer Screening Responsible Assessor

CNS plays a vital role in supporting people through the diagnostic pathway and onwards in to treatment and beyond. The Lung Cancer Screening Programme aims to identify lung cancer at an earlier stage, enabling timely intervention and improved patient outcomes. The Lung Cancer Screening responsible assessor (CNS) will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred lung cancer screening assessment5, supporting the safe, effective, and equitable management of individuals at risk of lung disease.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the external lung cancer screening team and multidisciplinary colleagues to promote access to screening for eligible patients, support decisions regarding suitability for screening.Applications for this post are invited from experienced oncology/palliative care nurses who have knowledge of referral pathways, diagnostics andtreatment options for patients diagnosed with lung cancer. Experience of running nurse led clinics is desirable but not essential.We are looking for an individual who is flexible, dynamic, self-motivated and passionate about this field of nursing. You should have excellentcommunication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
