About The Role

Our

Events business is in the middle of a strategic transformation. We are moving

from a legacy model of standalone events to an interconnected portfolio of

converged and co-located conferences, known as Fewer, Bigger, Better (FBB), to

improve the member experience and create proprietary flows of data from our

customers.

We have

created the new role of Regional Head of Events (RHE) to lead this change in

the US. Reporting to the Global Head of Events, you will manage the in-region

Associate Directors (ADs) and producers, own the regional events strategy and

report on the consolidated performance of US events. You will work in person

with regional teams as much as practical and collaborate closely with teams

across PEI.

Success

in your first year means consolidating US events into the 2027 calendar with

stronger commercial results over fewer event days, mapping regional

opportunities with ADs and producers, and shaping the three-year plan for our

events and communities business. Where you bring one, you will also keep a

global event portfolio in the first instance.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a strategy for

fewer, larger, more impactful events, aligned with ARR, FBB and marketing

goals.

  • Set, monitor and report event

objectives and KPIs that drive the commercial goals of regional

portfolios.

  • Build and lead a

high-performing regional team of producers with deep sector expertise and

standardized logistics, working closely with ADs and regional heads of

operations.

  • Create a multi-year event

calendar that balances global and regional needs, attracts attendees,

members and sponsors, and is mapped against regional competitor events.

  • Identify regional target

audiences and tailor event content and experiences with ADs to drive new

business and member satisfaction.

  • Foster a culture of

innovation to continually improve events and drive growth.

  • Produce and develop an event

portfolio as determined by the business.

Event

Portfolio Management

  • Ensure ADs introduce

innovative event formats and experiences to stay ahead of industry trends

and attract larger audiences.

  • Work with ADs to inspire

market-leading event concepts and agendas.

  • Optimize the portfolio with

ADs by prioritizing high-impact events and cutting or adapting low

performers.

  • Raise event standards to

justify premium pricing and strengthen brand reputation.

  • Ensure ADs and producers

support proprietary data flows from customers back to the business.

Delegate

Acquisition and Revenue Growth

  • Work with ADs, marketing and

sales on targeted, regionally appropriate campaigns that attract more

target customers.

  • Support effective regional

marketing channels, including email, social media, content marketing and

paid advertising.

  • Use regional partnerships and

collaborations to cross-promote memberships and extend reach.

Revenue,

Financial and Budget Management

  • Identify regionally specific

revenue streams, such as value-added services, sponsorships and

partnerships, especially those proven in other regions.

  • Analyze key metrics (growth,

retention, revenue) with ADs to measure program and event performance.

  • Use data and analytics to

inform decisions and optimize the membership program.

  • Develop and manage event

budgets with ADs and regional operations heads to keep delivery

cost-effective and limit fixed costs.

  • Track and analyze event spend

to find savings and optimize budgets.

Team leadership and development

  • Build and lead a

high-performing events team and support ADs across production and

logistics.

  • Develop career pathways to

attract, retain and grow top talent.

  • Encourage continuous

improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.

Data, Innovation and Technology

  • Use regional data and

analytics to measure event performance, spot trends and inform future

planning.

  • Ensure accurate and timely

data capture.

  • Track key metrics such as

attendance, engagement, lead generation and ROI.

  • Keep up to date with the

latest event technology trends and tools.

  • Work with Product Leadership

to use technology to improve the customer experience and streamline event

operations.

Risk

Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks

to successful event delivery, including maintaining a market map of the

regional competitive landscape.

  • Develop robust contingency

plans for unforeseen circumstances.

  • Ensure compliance with all

relevant regional regulations and safety standards.
