Commercial Finance Manager

Are you a Commercial Finance professional who enjoys being the go-to finance partner for your area, and confident challenging senior stakeholders to drive better decisions? A well-known luxury retail business is looking for a Finance Manager to join its commercial finance team in London. This is a high-visibility business partnering role. You'll be the primary finance contact for a key area of the business, combining clear financial ownership with the commercial insight and challenge that helps senior leaders run their areas more profitably. The finance team is going through a period of transformation, so this would suit someone who enjoys improving processes, working with new tools (including AI) and getting involved beyond a narrow remit. You'll also lead and develop a Finance Analyst, making this a strong step for someone looking to build leadership experience. What will you be doing?

• Acting as the trusted finance business partner for your area, building strong relationships with senior leadership
• Providing insight and analysis that helps stakeholders manage costs and improve profitability
• Preparing business cases for investment decisions and completing post-investment reviews
• Identifying and managing risks and opportunities across the P&L
• Completing cost/benefit analysis and finding opportunities to improve productivity
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for your area
• Delivering monthly management accounts with clear performance commentary
• Driving process improvements across your area alongside the wider finance team
• Leading and developing a Finance Analyst (in most roles) What would we love to see from you?
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Strong commercial finance or business partnering experience
• A track record of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting and P&L analysis
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Proactive and curious, with an interest in process improvement and AI-enabled tools
• Retail/FMCG experience useful Location: Central London (3 days in office) Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 + bonus (up to 20%)
