Your next chapter
We're looking for experienced, detail-driven Housekeepers and Cleaners to support our holiday homes across the North Devon area. This opportunity is ideal for self-employed cleaners and cleaning businesses who take pride in delivering exceptional standards and want to build regular work within the holiday-let industry.
You'll play a key role in ensuring every guest arrives at a spotless, beautifully presented home, helping us create memorable holiday experiences across our portfolio.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering premium-quality holiday-let cleans across properties in and around North Devon.
- Completing changeover cleans between guest stays, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
- Carrying out deep cleans and refresh cleans as required.
- Managing linen, including stripping and resetting beds in line with our standards.
- Replenishing supplies and welcome items where required.
- Reporting maintenance, health and safety, or property concerns promptly.
- Ensuring properties are secure, clean and guest-ready after every visit.
- Representing Travel Chapter professionally while working within our homes.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience cleaning holiday lets, serviced accommodation or similar high-standard environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Flexibility to respond to booking demand throughout the week, including weekends and peak holiday periods.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, can-do attitude.
- The ability to manage linen requirements as part of the cleaning process.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience managing multiple properties.
- Your own transport to travel between properties.
- Additional support or a cleaning team during busy periods.
Working arrangements
This is a self-employed contractor opportunity. Housekeepers are allocated properties rather than contracted hours and are responsible for ensuring those properties are serviced in line with guest bookings.
As guest bookings can change throughout the week, flexibility and availability are essential. Work may be required on any day of the week, including weekends and bank holidays. Christmas Day and New Year's Day are our only designated non-working days.
Housekeepers are responsible for:
- Maintaining their own business arrangements.
- Holding Public Liability Insurance of at least £2 million.
- Managing and paying their own Income Tax and National Insurance contributions.
- Providing their own cleaning products, materials and equipment.
- Arranging their own transport.
Payment
We offer competitive rates that reflect the quality, reliability and professionalism of our cleaning partners, with the opportunity to support a growing portfolio of holiday homes across the region.
