Laboratory Technician, SAR

Our recently upgraded SAR Laboratories in Basingstoke are where we test the latest consumer wireless electronic tech for the rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body when exposed to a radio frequency electromagnetic field.
We are now hiring for a Laboratory Technician to join the team, where you'll get the opportunity to perform hands-on testing, write reports for customers and help the team maintain accreditation standards. Helping to set up the laboratory ready for testingReviewing test plans prior to testingUndertake SAR testing of a range of wireless electronic devicesTake part in the analysis of test results and assist the Engineers with writing test reportsAssist the team in maintaining accreditation standards such as; equipment and site maintenance, ensure adequate record keeping, assist the other Engineers, and expediting technical reportsTo update the company work monitoring systems with accurate details and job status for each item of work for which the Engineer is responsibleTo meet customer delivery requirements in all respects. HNC or a Degree in a relevant subject, e.g. Engineering6 months - 1 year hands-on testing experience, either with SAR or equivalent such has RF (Radio) EMC or other Cellular testingKnowledge of some of the following SAR test standards: EN 50360, EN 62311, EN 50566, EN 62209-1/-2/-1528, EN 50383/50385, FCC SAR KDB's publication, IEEE1528, RSS 102Excellent communication skills, both within the organisation and potentially with customersHard working attitude and a flexible outlookAble to work well within a close-knit team, but also happy working independently Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
