Paralegal - Child Care Proceedings

This is an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Childcare team, supporting the team with a diverse caseload of Children Act 1989 and Family Law Act 1996 matters. Key responsibilities:

• Managing client caseloads from instruction to completion
• Providing updates to clients
• Assisting with case preparation, including drafting documents, reviewing evidence, and maintaining case files
• Conducting legal research to support case strategies and providing analysis on legal issues
• Performing administrative tasks, including updating case management systems and coordinating with clients and other stakeholders Key Requirements The ideal candidate will have:
• A law degree
• Experience in family or child care law and a good understanding of the Children Act, Family Law Act, Family Procedure Rules and Legal Aid
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously Why Join Simpson Millar?
