About The Role We are seeking an experienced IT Developer with expertise in SQL, Power BI, and Power Platform to join Principal IT's dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications and data solutions that support decision-making and operational efficiency. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with a practical understanding of business needs. Essential qualifications include experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SQL Server development, along with proficiency in creating Power BI reports and dashboards. A solid understanding of data modelling, DAX, and SSRS reporting is required. Experience with application development technologies such as .NET, as well as knowledge of ETL processes and data integration, is highly desirable. Familiarity with version control systems like Azure DevOps and Git, along with exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, will be advantageous. • Design, develop, and maintain solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, .NET, and related technologies to meet business requirements.
• Develop, optimize, and manage SQL Server databases, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Create and enhance Power BI dashboards, incorporating data modelling and DAX calculations to deliver actionable insights.
• Develop SSRS reports and automated reporting solutions to streamline data dissemination.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and system integrations to ensure data consistency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and ensure data accuracy and security.
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of applications and reporting tools.
• Adhere to best practices related to data security, governance, version control, and development standards.
• Participate in wider technology transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
